A healthy relationship is conformed as of work and personal acquaintance. Problems and personal history influence our interpersonal relationships and even more our couple’s relationship.

Sometimes, we need to formalize a relationship, not only because of the love we demonstrate, but later on, with friction and daily coexistence conflicts and problems arise, especially because we have not known each other with some deepness.

Some keys help us build and sustain a healthy, mature and rewarding love relationship. These are called by some authors: pillars of couple’s relationship based on love. They help us to grow in a mature, vital and conscious way, by attracting people with the same harmony, and with whom we can build a healthy relationship.

The Pillars of Emotional Intelligence Regarding to Love

If you take the time to get to know yourself into depth, you will certainly grow in emotional maturity. This will not set you free from problems in any relationship, but you will be more assertive when conflicts come. These pillars are:

A healthy couple’s relationship is carried forward from personal acquaintance

  • Sexuality. It is learning to enjoy, receive and give pleasure, creating the essential chemistry to sustain sexuality in our relationship, to provoke a very attractive energy for our life and our relationship.
  • Communication. It is relevant to communicate, in the dynamics of listening and expressing what we feel and think. Non-communication is a reason to conflicts, difficult divorces or chaotic relationships. To express and to listen oneself is necessary to build a solid, and long-lasting relationship love.
  • Generosity. In a couple’s relationship, being generous is trying to give to the significant other so they can grow and experience abundance. And not to use it as a mean to take us out of pain and loneliness.
  • Integrality. An integral and balanced life requires cultivating our interests and pleasures, in order to be more abundant, vital and an attractive person. Being the opposite will steal vital energy from our relationship.
  • Self-acquaintance. It helps us to be aware of qualities, values and difficulties. Being the opposite makes us to get involved with people who mistreat, devalue or despise us.
  • Vital energy. Our vital energy expands as we develop as a person, making us radiant, healthy and resistant to stress. Dedicate time to yourself through sports, relaxation and study.
  • Maturity. It is a dynamic and constantly growing aspect. It is being receptive to listening, is the capacity to assume your mistakes and to take responsibility for them, respecting the rhythm of the other.
